Eleanor Misenhimer, 85, of Allentown and formerly of Northampton, died Feb. 19, 2014, at home. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Anna (Blahut) Kesack. She was the wife of Dr. Martin D. Misenhimer for 61 years.
She was a 1946 graduate of Liberty HS. She earned an associate's degree from Bethlehem Business College.
She was a secretary in the Metallurgic Department of the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Karen and her husband Rick Young of Saint Louis, Mo. and Holly and her husband Darrin Knowles of Bethlehem Township; two sons, David of Washington, D.C. and Martin T. of Allentown; two sisters, Marie Kaplan of Allentown and Jo Trusheim of Warren, N.J.; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Kesack of Bethlehem and Carmen Kesack of Lexington, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She was predeceased by a son, Brian Misenhimer; two brothers, William and Daniel Kesack; and a sister, Geri Kotran.
Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.
