Dean D. Knecht, 61, of Bethlehem, died Feb. 15, 2014, at ManorCare. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frederick Cyrus and Viola (Wessner) Knecht.

He was in the U.S. Marines and was an airplane mechanic in Cherry Point, N.C.

He was a caretaker for the George Hurd estate.

He was a former member of College Hill Moravian Church, Bethlehem.

He is survived by a sister, Janet and her husband Ronald Paulus of Kutztown; a brother, Frederick and his wife Donna Knecht of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and nieces and nephews and their families.

Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
