Dorothy K. Sweitzer

Dorothy K. Sweitzer, 101, formerly of Emmaus, died Feb. 20, 2014, in the Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Thomas S. Sweitzer who died in 1980. Born in Gardenton, Manitoba, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Theodore "Fred" and Mary (Zeha) Krishka.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Emmaus.

She was a longtime volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, where she was known as the "plant lady" and she also enjoyed sewing in her free time.

She is survived by daughters, Sharon C. and her husband Terry Miller, of Lower Milford Twp., and Sandra A. and her husband Theodore Nowark, of Downingtown; sister, Violet Dawydiuk; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by brothers, George, John and William; sisters, Sophie, Lena and Rose.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
