2-vehicle crash
on Route 22
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Jessie E. Kalavoda, 27, of Bethlehem, was driving a 2004 Mercury Sable east on the ramp to Route 22 East from Tilghman Street, Upper Macungie, when her car rear-ended a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Dawn M. Kroboth, 37, of Whitehall, just after 7 a.m. Feb. 6.
According to police, Kalavoda's car was approximately 10 feet behind Kroboth's SUV.
As Kroboth approached the end of the on-ramp, she began slowing due to traffic on Route 22 East.
She brought her SUV to a complete stop prior to merging onto Route 22 as Kalavoda continued east on the on-ramp to Route 22 and struck the SUV in the rear bumper.
After impact, the SUV traveled to the right shoulder of the roadway. The car traveled onto Route 22 approximately 7 feet behind the SUV on the right shoulder, where they both came to a final rest.
The two drivers and Kroboth's 14-year-old passenger were all wearing seat belts.
No one sustained any injuries, police say.
The car was removed by Faust Towing. The SUV was driven from the scene.
