George E. Zelina, 83, from Allentown, died on Feb. 10, 2014, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He was the husband of the late Fay A. (Van Horn) Zelina.
Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Sophie (Strivovski) Zelina.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.
A moulder in the Ingot Mould Foundry at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 34 years, he retired in 1992.
He was a member of the MORA Club, Bethlehem, and Northampton American Legion Post 945.
His survivors include children Barbara L. Gnann and her husband, John, of Williamsville, N.Y., Thomas J. of Greensville, S.C., Kay A. Lawrence and her husband, Daniel, of Allentown, Linda L. Gulick and her husband, Brian, of New Tripoli; sisters Helen Gomboz of Bethlehem, Betty Lysek of Allentown; grandchildren, Angela Porter, Erik Gnann, Christopher and Jennifer Gulick, Thomas, Steven, Matthew and Tyler Zelina; and great-grandchildren Allison and Onalee.
