Bernetta A. Christ, 90, of Maxatawny, died Feb. 17, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She and her husband Harold F. Christ celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in October 2013.

Born in Lynnport, she was a daughter of the late Irwin G. and Molly (Gernert) Snyder.

She was last employed as a repairer for the former Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown, for 15 years before retiring in 1969.

Before that, she worked on her family's farm in the Krumsville area.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Krums-ville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Donald H. and his wife, Arline, of Pottstown; and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Larry in 2007 and a grandson Kirk in 1989.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 21, in Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway (Route 143), Jacksonville, Lynn Township.

Calling hour begins at 10 a.m. The Rev. James R. Hammond will officiate. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown.
