Thomas A. Banyas, Sr., 87, of Emmaus, died Feb. 10, 2014, at St. Luke's, Allentown. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late John Banyas and Mary (Kollar) Banyas Zahurak.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Emmaus Veteran's Association.

He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by children, Sherry and her husband William Kline, Thomas A., Jr. and his wife Melissa and Kathy and her husband Alex Sojtori; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will take place 1 p.m. Feb. 19. A viewing will be nStudents from Miss Bedics' 2nd grade class enjoy sharing their Valentine's day snacks.
