Dennis Karl Moyer, 69, of Zionsville, died Feb. 10, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his wife, daughter and son-in-law. He was the husband of Linda (Deardorff) Moyer. They were married 40 years. He was a son of the late Ruth and Wilmer Moyer.
A local historian and author, he was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School in 1962 and later served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1965 to 1967.
He worked at the Pillsbury Company in East Greenville for 15 years. After leaving Pillsbury, he became director of the Schwenkfelder Library and Museum. He served there for 19 years during which time he authored Fraktur Writings and Folk Art Drawings of the Schwenkfelder Library Collection.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kathryn and her husband Brian Kilmer; grandson, Jacob Lars, of Parkton, Md.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at Falk Funeral Home, Pennsburg. a funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Feb. 20 at Zion's Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, P.O. Box 200, Old Zionsville, 18068.
