Favorite subject: Calculus and chemistry because in both classes you learn something new every day and it is fascinating to know that there will be something new to learn the next day
Activities: Football, basketball, stage crew
Next steps: Go to a medium-large university and major in chemical engineering
Career goals: Become a chemical engineer and after a career in industry possibly become a teacher or professor
Heroes: Dmitri Mendeleev because he overcame rejection and doubt from his peers and then went on to invent the Periodic Table of Elements
Hobbies: Board games, tennis, running, watching football
Current job(s): Over the summer I worked at Air Products for a high school internship.
Volunteer/community work: I worked to rejuvenate a rundown garden and worked with individuals with special needs at Good Shepherd.
Likes: Being outgoing, competing, solving problems, math, chemistry
Dislikes: Losing, being told I'm wrong
Greatest accomplishment (so far): Being confirmed in the Catholic Church with the name of Jude
Advice for peers: Always be yourself. Do you better than anyone else.
