State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Laurys Station residents Michael Francis Russo, 5427 Devonshire Court, reported a hasp was cut from his outdoor shed and William Joseph Sharkazy, 5458 Ashley Drive, reported a padlock was cut off his outdoor shed sometime between noon on Jan. 15 and noon Feb. 1.

Driver arrested
for DUI
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Alicia Elyse Hower, 26, of Orefield, was driving 2:29 a.m. on Jan. 6 when her vehicle became stuck in the mud and snow on the western shoulder of Mauch Chunk Road, just north of the intersection with Cedar Crest Boulevard, North Whitehall Township.
Police allege Hower displayed signs of alcohol intoxication. She was arrested for driving under the influence.
Charges were filed with District Judge Jake Hammond, South Whitehall.
Two cars crash
on I-78
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Bryne L. Heffner, 20, from New Tripoli, was driving a 2008 Mazda 3 in the right lane of I-78 East going approximately 50 mph on a partially snow-covered and icy road at 5:31 a.m. Feb. 4 in Upper Macungie, when the car traveled northeast across the left lane counter clockwise and struck the concrete barrier with its front bumper.
The car continued to travel counterclockwise and struck the barrier again with its rear bumper.
The car then traveled approximately 500 feet southeast across the left and right lane of eastbound travel, onto the south shoulder before hitting a concrete barrier with its front bumper at its point of final rest facing east, police say.
Christina Nunez, 28, of Whitehall, who was driving a 2007 Altima Nissan directly behind Heff-ner in the right eastbound lane, attempted to stop before crashing into the Mazda.
Nunez's Nissan began to spin clockwise, onto the south shoulder and struck the concrete barrier with its front bumper before coming to a final rest facing westbound on the south shoulder.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, police say, adding Nunez sustained a minor injury.
Heffner was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Nunez was issued a written warning for following too closely, police say.
