Richard L. "Fuzzy" Fetherolf, 84, a resident of Fellowship Community, died Feb. 3, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Oscar and Jean (McCloskey) Fetherolf.
He and his wife Mildred E. "Millie" (Mittl) Fetherolf were married almost 53 years at the time of her death in 2008.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.
A 1947 graduate of Allentown High School, he attended the University of North Carolina and was a graduate of Muhlenberg College.
He was a talented football player for all three schools. He coached youth football in Fullerton, and delivered Meals on Wheels.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army a paratrooper with the 82nd airborne division, and was a member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367 and its funeral honor guard.
A foreman at Bethlehem Steel with more than 30 years of service before retiring, he later worked in food service for the Whitehall Coplay School District.
His survivors include daughters Linda J. Kulp and her husband, Ronald, of Whitehall, Jeni A. Frechette and husband, Jeff, of Vermont; sons Richard L. Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Tallahassee, Fla., Brian G. of Whitehall, Mark E. of South Whitehall Towsnhip; grandchildren Richard, Rachel and her husband, Sean, Savannah, Beau and Tyler; and niece Nancy.
He was predeceased by sisters Jeanne Rahn and Betty Lou Posh.
