Raymond J. Salapka, 61, of Easton, died Feb. 6, 2014, at home. He was the husband of Sharon (Wagner) Salapka.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of Eleanor (DeWitt) Salapka and the late John Salapka.

He was in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was a corrections officer at Mahan Women's Prison, Clinton, N.J.

He was president of Jersey Bushido Kai Karate School and was an eighth degree blackbelt.

He was a member of the Paupack Sailing Club since 1999.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a step-son, Barry and his wife Dawn Edelman of Northampton; a step-daughter, Kimberly and her husband Ryan Grube of Lehigh Township; four grandchildren; and a "son", Anthony and his wife Barbara Primiani of Flemington, N.J.
