The Hanover Township Council officially accepted John Martucci as a member of council at its meeting Feb. 5.
Martucci was selected after newly elected council members reviewed applications from four interested applicants.
"We like to promote people who have served on other township boards," said Chairman Bruce Paulus.
Martucci will fill the unexpired term of William Kovacs and says he will seek election in 2015.
Martucci's experience is transportation related.
He served as a transportation officer for Walgreens, formed his own trucking company, which he recently sold, and now makes runs on a scheduled basis for select clients.
"I am honored to be able to be on council and serve the township," he said.
With all council seats now filled, serving for 2014 are Chairman Bruce Paulus, Vice Chairman Joseph Heimbecker, Michael Woolley, Curtis Wegfahrt and Martucci.
