Edward Kildoyle Dexter, of Macungie, formerly of Dallas, Pa., died Feb. 7, 2014, surrounded by his family at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Janet (Gardner) Dexter, who died in 2010. They were married for 59 years. Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he was a son of Manley and Flora (Kildoyle) Dexter.
He honorably served in the U.S. Navy and in the Air Force Reserves.
After graduating from Syracuse University, his gregarious personality led to a successful career in sales.
He and his wife were avid bridge players during their 35 years in Dallas, and in later years he enjoyed playing bridge at the Lehigh Valley Senior Center and breakfasting with the local Fleet Reserve Association.
He is survived by daughters, Susan and her husband Jim Mooney, Linda and her husband Don Hoegg, Maureen and her husband Bob Calder and Jeannine and her husband Owen Williams; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. Feb. 15, Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, immediately followed by a memorial service 11 a.m.
