"Existence" exhibition: An opening reception for the exhibition, "Más allá de la existencia" ("Beyond The Existence"), will be held 5 - 10 p.m. Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, at surrealist artist Rigo Peralta's studio gallery, 1131 Linden St., Allentown. The exhibition is named for the painting, "Beyond The Existence," above. Peralta's studio gallery opened in October 2013. Peralta's former studio was at the Banana Factory, Bethlehem. The late philanthropist Marlene "Linny" Fowler commissioned Peralta's "Dancing Through The Metal," installed in the Fowler Blast Furnace Room, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, Bethlehem. Children's stories: Karen Maurer, above, of Bethlehem, is the featured storyteller for the next in the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild's "Winter"Children's Series," 2 p.m. Feb. 16, Godfrey Daniels, 7 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. The series, held every first and third Sunday through the winter season at Godfrey's, highlights a different member of the guild for each session. Each session, which lasts about an hour, is part of the LVSG's mission to promote and celebrate the art of storytelling.
