Car hits

embankment

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Yehoshua Rubin, 33, of Brooklyn, N.Y. was driving a 2001 Buick Park Avenue westbound in the left lane on I-78 when it struck an embankment 12:40 p.m. Jan. 28 in Upper Macungie Township.

Police allege Rubin fell asleep while driving and the car merged into the center median and struck the longitudinal barrier with its driver's side front bumper.

After impact, the car crossed over the left and right lane of traffic, traveled off the roadway and struck the embankment on the north side of the road with its passenger side front bumper.

Police say as a result of the second impact, the car spun in a clockwise rotation before coming to a final rest in the embankment facing east.

Rubin, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured, police say.

He was charged with a traffic violation, say police.
