Theft from motor vehicle

Reported at a residence in the 1100 block of Eagle Street, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle parked in front of the home and took $5 in change and a bottle of prescription medication valued at $40 between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Jan. 17. The investigation continues.

Reported in the 5600 block of Greens Drive, Lower Macungie Township, items were taken from an unlocked vehicle between 9:30 p.m. Jan. 8 amd 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Retail theft

Amy Yahne Rockelman, 23, of Allentown, was arrested for retail theft after she allegedly took three prepaid cell phones from a shelf in the electronics department at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 10:53 and 10:58 p.m. Jan. 22. Rockelman allegedly took the phones from their packaging, placed the phones in her coat and left the store without paying for the merchandise. Rockelman was taken to Lehigh County Prison for processing.

Jessika Quinones-Ubiles, 29, of Reading, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly concealed multiple DVDs in her bag and tried to leave without paying for the items at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:26 a.m. Jan. 28. Quinones-Ubiles was stopped by Loss Prevention staff at the store. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Anna Vidal, no age given, of Philadelphia, Jose Ruiz, no age given, of Philadelphia and Antonio Ortiz, no age given, of Philadelphia, were charged with retail theft after they allegedly took merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:37 p.m. Jan. 27. Vidal allegedly took a pair of boots valued at $27. Ruiz and Ortiz allegedly took a cellphone valued at $100. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Reported by a 19-year-old woman from Allentown, an unknown actor entered three stores between 12:43 p.m. and 1:03 p.m. Jan 17 and used a duplicate copy of the victim's credit card to buy more than $200 worth of cigarettes. According to police, an unknown actor bought a carton of cigarettes valued at $71.24 at CVS Pharmacy, 958 Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township. The unknown actor next went to Walmart and bought a carton of cigarettes valued at $65.82. The unknown actor then went to Walgreens and bought one carton and eight packs of cigarettes for a total value of $136.42. The unknown actor left Walgreens in a gray 2013 Honda Pilot. Charges applied to the duplicate credit card totaled $273.48. The police investigation is continuing.

A 15-year-old Macungie boy was accused of retail theft after he took $89.98 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:22 p.m. Jan. 28. The teen carried merchandise into a restroom at the store, discarded the packaging in a trash can and fled the store with the merchandise. He was later identified and located, according to police. Charges to be filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Theft of mislaid property

Zachary Lothrop, 19, of Emmaus, was arrested for theft of mislaid property after he allegedly removed a laptop computer from a rental car at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 5661 Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11 a.m. Jan. 25. The computer, valued at $1,500, was left in a rented vehicle when it was returned.

Terroristic threats

A Coopersburg man, 35, no name given, was arrested for terroristic threats after he assaulted and threatened a woman in the 1000 block of Standard Lane, Lower Milford Township, between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 28 and 2:02 a.m. Jan. 29. The accused pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to kill her. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison for processing. The investigation continues.

Theft by unlawful taking

Reported by Precision Pipeline Solutions, of New Britain, New York, at a construction site at Church Lane, east of Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 6 p.m. Jan. 20 and 8 a.m. Jan 21, unknown actors forced their way into a trailer and took a 5,000 watt Honda brand generator. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Criminal mischief

Four 17-year-old male, all of Emmaus, face charges of criminal mischief after they threw eggs at a residence in the 2300 block of Madeira Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 2:10 a.m. Feb. 2. A witness saw the teens throw the eggs and flee the area in a dark colored Toyata Avalon car. The witness followed the car to a Wawa convenience store, Route 100 and Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, and contacted police. The teens were identified, their parents were contacted and the teens were released. Charges will be filed in District Court 31-2-03.
