Police responding to a reported vehicle theft the night of Jan. 24 soon found it and arrested the thief on East Broad Street.

Around 10:10 p.m. police arrested Dimitri Ikeem Wesley, 21, of Hayes Street, on charges of theft, unauthorized use of vehicle, recieving stolen property and driving without a license.

He was unable to post $10,000 bail and was to be remanded to Northampton County Prison by Judge Roy Manwaring.

But about nine hours after his arrest and following his arraignment, police arrested Wesley again on an escape charge.

He was unable to post $50,000 bail was remanded to Northampton County Prison.
