Barbara J. (Fisher) Yost, 72, of Northampton, died Feb. 1, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Yost Sr.

Born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late John R. Fisher and Charmaine (Fabian) Balent.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Shook of Slatington; two sons, Edward J. Jr. and his wife Tracy of Coplay and Kevin and his wife Tracy of Northampton; seven grandchildren; seven great–grandchildren; two step great–grandchildren; two sisters, Charmaine Humphrey of Klingerstown and Maryann Sotnak of Natalie; three brothers, William and his wife Daloris Michelkovich of Pottstown, John Fisher of Tenn., and Johny Balent of Springfield; nieces; and nephews, friends and neighbors who helped and care for her very much.

She was predeceased by a son, Gary L. Fisher.

There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at the Odd Fellows Cemetary, Trevorton Road, Coal Township, Shamokin.
