James E. Krier

James E. Krier, 66, of Zionsville, died Jan. 29, 2014, in St. Luke's Hospice House. He was the husband of Diane R. (Sadrovitz) Krier, with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Elwood J. and Millicent M. (Deily) Krier.

He worked as a forklift operator for Coca-Cola for 26 years and later for JC Penney Logistics until retiring in 2012.

He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; son, Dale Gaumer, of Philadelphia; daughter, Penny Cope, of Zionsville; sisters, Marge Eddinger, of Slatington and Emily Mitchell, of Allentown; grandchildren whom he helped raise, Cassandra Gaumer, Brandon Bertsch, and Dyann Bertsch.

Contributions may be made to the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus to benefit the grandchildren's education fund.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Feb. 12, Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, Old Zionsville. Visitation noon to 1 p.m. in the church.
