Whitehall police

The Whitehall Township Police Department responded to a report of shots fired 10:30 p.m. Jan. 24 in the area of Overlook Road, by Mickley Run Apartments.

Upon an investigation, the police department determined a shooting did not occur in the area.

Police said there are no known injuries and no charges have been filed.

According to a press release issued by the Whitehall Township Police Department, a good Samaritan found a bank bag along Presidential Drive in Whitehall Township Jan. 27. An unnamed individual turned the bag in to township police.

The bag was inventoried and found to contain a large amount of cash, police said.

Township police are currently searching for the owner of the bag.

The money may be claimed by describing the bag and amount and denomination of the cash inside.

· Police responded to a report of a suspicious activity in the 5200 block of Main Street.

· Officers were called to the 800 block of Front Street to investigate a theft from a vehicle.

JANUARY 21

· An alarm summoned police to Boston Market, 1415 Grape St.

· Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2600 block of MacArthur Road.

· A motor vehicle crash brought police to Orchard Drive.

· Officers were called to the 5100 block of Grant Avenue to investigate a chimney fire.

· Police responded to a theft in the 1800 block of Georgia Drive.

· A motor vehicle crash brought officers to the 1400 block of Presidential Drive.

· Police were called to Kmart, 2520 MacArthur Road, to investigate a theft.

· Officers responded to a domestic call in the 3300 block of North Hobson Street.

· A report of a registration plate stolen from a company van brought police to Jack Williams Tire Express, 2157 MacArthur Road.

JANUARY 22

· Police responded to a report of the theft of a wallet at Walmart, 2641 MacArthur Road.

· A report of harassment brought officers to Madison Lane.

· Officers were called to the 800 block of Fourth Street to investigate the theft of a GPS unit, charger, tools and money from a vehicle in the 800 block of Fourth Street.

· A motor vehicle crash brought police to MacArthur Road.

· Officers were called to the unit block of Third Street to investigate a report of a loud noise.

JANUARY 23

· An alarm summoned police to the 600 block of Maryland Street.

· Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the unit block of Bark Street.

· A report of a diamond ring and iPhone stolen brought police to the 5600 block of Coplay Road.

· Officers were called to the 900 block of Mickley Road to investigate a report of fraud.

· Police responded to a report of counterfeit payroll checks cashed at Walmart, 2641 MacArthur Road.

· Officers were called to the 1900 block of Belleview Drive to investigate an argument between a mother and child.

JANUARY 24

· Officers assisted EMS in the 600 block of Mickley Road.

· A report of an unwanted person brought police to Dunkin Donuts, 2364 MacArthur Road.

· Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct in the 300 block of Mickley Road.

· Police were called to the 1800 block of Georgia Drive.

· A motor vehicle crash brought officers to Pine Street.

· Police responded to a report of retail theft at Boscov's, 400 Lehigh Valley Mall.

· A report of a wanted person brought officers to the 3600 block of Park Street.

· Officers were called to the 5200 block of Pennsylvania Street to investigate a report of criminal mischief.
