Lower Saucon Township police arrested a man on numerous charges after asking if he needed assistance Dec. 28.

According to records, officers observing a vehicle on the side of Route 378 around 1:45 a.m. questioned 24-year-old Mark Adams of East Tioga Street in Allentown. Adams allegedly said his vehicle hood has whipped open as he drove, but police suspected he was intoxicated.

According to police, during field sobriety tests Adams was unable to follow directions or maintain his balance.

Adams was placed in a patrol car as he was deemed a danger so near to passing traffic, but once in the car he repeatedly struck his head against the seats and windows, spat and faked a siezure.

Officers learned Adams' license was suspended, had no insurance and had allegedly placed a nother car's registration plate on his own.
