Washington Township supervisors voted to allow workers to accumulate sick days indefinitely instead of losing them, if not used.

Resident Judith Neff, 3442-44 Main St., Emerald, in the Village Center zone, wants to divide the two properties.

The new property line would go through a shed and there would not be enough parking for the second lot.

By eliminating the shed, two parking spaces would be provided.

The plan does not include new construction.

Supervisors accepted the proposal as a final plan.

Trumbull Corp., which is replacing the Emerald bridge on the PA. Turnpike sent a letter asking to lease office space at the municipal building and to place a trailer in the yard.

Solicitor John Ashley will review the lease.

The Emerald Playground Association and Eagles Nest Association both turned in financial statements for 2013 and received their contributions of $500.

As public comment, Judy Hoffman asked about snow removal on the sidewalk because adults, and children getting off school buses have to walk on ice where it is not cleared.

Supervisor Josh Frie-bolin said he was not aware of any regulation.

Hoffman was referring to two adjacent properties on Main Street.

She said not mowing a lawn is regulated, so snow should be also.

Friebolin said so few people have sidewalks the issue was not mentioned previously. He will look into it.
