State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Theodore Taylor, 50, of Allentown, was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup west on Route 22 in the left lane passing the Tilghman Street on-ramp to Route 22 West in Upper Macungie, at 7:18 a.m. Jan. 3 when he apparently lost control of the truck in the snow.

According to police, the truck began to spin in a clockwise motion, traveling into the right lane before striking the guide rail off the right side of the roadway, approximately 200 feet west of the Tilghman Street on-ramp.

The truck continued to spin in a clockwise motion, coming to a final rest in the right lane of Route 22 West, facing east.

Taylor, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured, police say.

He was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
