LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Lehigh Township Column

Do you enjoy walking or biking local trails? Are you interested in local history?

Lehigh Township Rails to Trails is involved in projects and recreational opportunities involving both of these interests.

There is a cost for individual memberships and it is good for one year.

Being a member entitles you to attend meetings and to help work on projects.

This past year the organization cleared and developed the Lock 25 area along the Walnutport Canal, an area which lies in Lehigh Township. This spot will be opened as a picnic area in the spring. Organization members also created informational signs for the site with the help of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor organization. More work needs to be done, which will involve both maintenance and fundraising.

If you would like to become a member, call Dave at 610-767-5519.

You can also send an email to ltr2t@hotmail.com to request a form.
