DUI

Brett Heffner, 39, of Allentown, was pulled over for an alleged traffic stop 11:01 p.m. Jan. 10 along the 3000 block of South Pike Avenue. He was taken to Central Booking for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Identity theft

A resident in the 2900 block of South Meadowbrook Circle, Allentown, reported 11:30 a.m. Jan. 13, an unknown person used the resident's People's First credit card in New York.

Burglary

Midas Muffler, 3141 Lehigh St., Allentown, reported 7:44 a.m. Jan. 15, sometime overnight an unknown actor broke a garage door window and pried open a desk drawer. Because they cut power to the building, they were unable to open the cash drawer. Nothing is reported missing. Police are reviewing the surveillance video and the incident is still under investigation.

Attempted theft

A car at the Scott Mazda Volvo Dealership, 3209 Lehigh St., Allentown, was burglarized sometime between Jan. 3 and 15. A worker observed the rear passenger door ajar 9:37 a.m. Jan. 15 and the glove box was open. The owner of the vehicle is being contacted to see if anything is missing.

Disturbance

A 16-year-old male caused a disturbance 4:53 p.m. Jan. 15 at Northwestern Human Services, 660 E. Emmaus Ave., Allentown. The male cut himself with glass and ran down Emmaus Avenue before being caught by police. He was taken to the hospital for observation. The same male was charged 4:33 p.m. Jan. 16 with simple assault after allegedly assaulting a caregiver. He was taken to juvenile detention.
