Notre Dame: Gift givers

Notre Dame students, staff, faculty and parents participated in the Annual Giving Tree Event, buying more than 120 presents for children which will be delivered to Northampton County Division of Youth Services on Dec. 18.

East Hill MS: Book discussion Jan. 29

There will be a book discussion from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the school library, 2005 Chester Road. The topic,"Last Child in the Woods" by Richard Louv with teachers Martha Christine, Linda Frederick, and Mona Koury-Elias, is about getting students outside to learn during the school day. They will also be sharing ideas about starting and maintaining school gardens and nature areas.

Arts charers: Open houses set

The L.V. Charter HS for the Arts will hold an open house Jan. 22 at 675 E. Broad St. Tours begin at 6 p.m.; the program begins at 6:30 pm. In the case of inclement weather, visit www.CharterArts.org for cancellation or postponement information.

The Arts Academy Elementary Charter School, S. 6th St and W. Union St., Allentown, will be holding several open houses from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan.21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. Call 484-505-0697.
