The Northampton Area Public Library is starting a Pokemon Club for kids ages 12 through 16 to get together, trade cards and hang out. The group will meet every other Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the teen room. The first meeting was Jan. 8.

Come to the library to learn about the Affordable Care Act in Pennsylvania Saturday, Jan. 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The program is free and open to the public. Snow date is Jan. 25. You can also sign up to meet with a Certified Application Counselor.

Winter children's programs will be held Feb. 4 through March 27. This year a new program is being added. "Wonderful Ones" is a read and play program for one-year-olds and their caregivers. It will be held Thursdays 10-10:45 a.m. Pre-registration is required. It began 9 a.m. Jan. 6. Programs include Toddler Storytime, Creative Preschoolers, Storycraft and Toddler/ Preschool Family Storytime.

Did you get a new gadget over the holidays and need help setting it up or using it? The library can help with Kindles, Nooks, iPads, tablets and other devices.

The book discussion group will meet Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The book to be discussed is "Angle of Repose" by Wallace Stegner. The next Friends of the Northampton Area Public Library meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 28, 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
