In continuation of its Bob Warke–Dale Horn Scholarship Program, the Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association (HPPA) will again award two $1,000 scholarships.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the HPPA basketball tournament, the proceeds of which are used to fund the scholarship awards.
The Bob Warke–Dale Horn Basketball Tournament will be held at the Whitehall Middle School from Feb. 20 through March 2.

To be eligible for the Warke–Horn Scholarship, applicants must be a class of 2014 high school eligible graduate and be continuing their education in the fall of 2014.
Applicants must have participated in the organization's baseball, softball or basketball youth programs, and they must complete the scholarship application form and return it to the HPPA prior to Feb. 24.

The organization will review all of the applications and select one girl and one boy to receive the scholarships at their March/April meeting.
