After Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate Dana Stellar was filmed selecting her wedding gown in November 2012 for TLC's network show "Say Yes to the Dress," there was only one thing left to do, marry fiancé Patrick Holmes, the son of Kris and Tim Holmes of Dunmore.

The couple, who met in fall 2005 at Lehigh University when Dana was on a recruiting trip for track and field and cross country, became engaged Sept. 13, 2012.

They married a year later on Sept. 21, 2013.

The "Say Yes to the Dress," program titled, "A Mother's Touch," showed Dana selecting her gown with the support of her father, Tony Stellar, of Stellar Construction, Schnecksville. Her mother, Deborah, died of ovarian cancer in 2010.

In addition to her dad, Dana's Aunt Patsy Schultheis, her late mother's best friend Jill Stoelzl, and friends Alyssa Jones and Ashley Madonick attended the filming at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City.

On Nov. 1, 2013, TLC aired the footage of Dana searching for the perfect wedding dress.

Dana picked a gown by Lazaro Perez, designer of the Lazaro and Tara Keely collections, for her special day.

The Rev. R. Scott Ardinger officiated at the ceremony in Lehigh University's Packer Memorial Church, Bethlehem.

Ashley Madonick of Catonsville, Md., and Alyssa Jones of Philadelphia, were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Emily Holmes of Dunmore, sister of the groom; Nicole Page of Skippack; Kate McLaughlin of Stamford, Conn.; Cathy Bigelow and Lauranne Kline, both of New York City; Kandis Jones of Philadelphia; and Kari Schultheis of Orefield, cousin of the bride.

Abigail Saeger of Allentown, was flower girl.

Patrick's best men were Justin Johannesen of Philadelphia, and Marty Michael of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Groomsmen were T.J. and Derek Stellar of Heidelberg Township, brothers of the bride; Skylar Wilson of Catonsville, cousin of the bride; Joe Kelly of Washington, D.C.; Patrick Miller and Sean McCarthy, both of Baltimore; and Douglas Farber, Easton.

Their reception, which included a dazzling fireworks display, took place at the Stellar family home in Heidelberg Township.

Then, the couple was off to a honeymoon in Thailand before returning to their home in Philadelphia.

Dana earned a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management from Lehigh University in 2010.

She is an SAP consultant at McMaster-Carr.

Patrick, a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School, earned a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Lehigh University in 2008.

He is a project manager at PULLMAN-Shared Systems Technology.

Dana spoke with The Press Jan. 15 about her wedding and married life.

"The wedding was outstanding, she said. "We were surrounded on our wedding day by family and friends. They were all very supportive."

Everyone in both families came together to put on a great wedding for me and Patrick, Dana said.

"Both families grew a lot closer because of the process, especially my brothers," Dana said. "My dad threw us one heck of a party. We had 450 people attending."

Dana said married life is wonderful.

"Not too much has changed," Dana said. "Patrick is my best friend, so it is nice to do everything together.

"We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together."

TLC will broadcast the final fitting of her wedding gown and the wedding itself this coming spring, Dana said.
