Norman Nester, 86, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 8, 2014, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Stella (Smith) Nester for 65 years. He was a son of the late Elmer and Mabel (Fegley) Nester.
A World War II veteran, he also served in the National Guard and worked for Superior Combustion and Air Products until he retired.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events, and kidding with his caretakers.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Sharon Bleiler, Renee and her husband Brad Hoch, Denise and her husband Barry Jacoby and Monica and her husband Tom Thayer; grandchildren, Brian Hoch, Andrea Hoch-Reinhart, Rebecca Abruzzese, Derek Bleiler, and Stephanie Bleiler; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond, Vernon and Kermit; sisters, Marian Frankenfield, Annabelle Buss and Mae Wentz-Nicholas. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth; brothers, Linwood, Melvin, Wilmer and Donald; sisters, Alma Miller and Merle Lorish.
