Kay C. Balascak, 66, of Allentown, died Jan. 5, 2014, at Valley Manor, Coopersburg. She was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Betty J. (Blank) Hertzog.

She was last employed by Redners Market, Trexlertown.

She is survived by a daughter, Amy and her husband Daniel Batka, of Bethlehem; brothers, Alan M. Hertzog and his wife, Joan, of North Carolina, Dennis C. Hertzog and his wife Gloria, of Bethlehem, Glenn D. Hertzog and his wife Sandy, of Emmaus; sisters, Judy A. Meyers, of Alburtis, Linda D. and her husband William DeLong, of Allentown, Donna L. and her husband Michael P. Lasko, Jr., of Allentown; sister-in-law, Lisa Hertzog, of Mertztown; three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher and brother, Dale R. Hertzog.

Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or charity of one's choice.
