Donald W. Haydt, 66, of Macungie and Allentown, died Jan. 11, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Beverly G. (Ahrens) Haydt. They were married for 39 years in August. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Willard H. and Miriam M. (Derr) Haydt.

He owned and operated Haydt's Trucking and Garage in Longswamp Township for 40 years and was affiliated with Lowe and Moyer Garage, Fogelsville, for the past four years. He truly loved his work.

He held memberships in Macungie and Kutztown fire companies.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Donald, Jr. and Randy; stepchildren Kimberly and Kenneth McBee; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Jan. 16 in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 16 in the funeral home.
