Senior Chris Litzenberger (Catasaqua) of the Muhlenberg College football team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.
To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on his team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
An accounting major, Litzenberger helped the Mules earn a postseason berth in 2013.
Litzenberger saw extensive action at wide receiver for the Mules. His 30 catches and 297 receiving yards were both career highs and good for fourth on the team. Litzenberger averaged 9.9 yards per catch and finished his career with 40 receptions and a touchdown. He also was a key part of the special teams as the long snapper for kicks and punts.
Muhlenberg finished the 2013 campaign second in the conference with a 7-2 mark. The Mules were 8-3 overall and earned their 10th postseason berth in 14 seasons, dropping a close game to Salisbury in the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl.
