Calvin C. Reiss, 90 years, 7 months, formerly from Allentown and Macungie, died on Jan. 1, 2014, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township.

He was the husband of the late Florence R. (Heilman) Reiss.

Born June 1, 1923, in Old Zionsville, he was the son of the late Calvin T. and Blanche (Scholl) Reiss.

He was a bowling alley mechanic at the Rose Bowl and Parkway Lanes, both in Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury.

An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing at Wedgewood Golf Course, Limeport.

His survivors include sons Rodney R. and his wife, Irene, of Allentown, David A. and his companion Patricia Schaffer, of Lehighton; daughter Donna M. Coleman and her husband William, of Deerfield, Mich; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother Wilbur Roy, who died in December 2013.
