WSE students deliver cold weather gear to the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown

Lauren Praedin, shelter coordinator, accepts a donation from the Western Salisbury Elementary School Lighthouse team at the Sixth Street Shelter, Allentown. The students also took a tour of the shelter led by Praedin. The shelter includes 22 short-term apartments in five buildings. The Sixth Street Shelter is a program of the Community Action Committee, according to its website. The shelter provides temporary housing for homeless families with children. The Lighthouse Team at WSE collected two large boxes of coats, hats and gloves.
