Ruth C. Stoudt, 92, of Emmaus, died Jan. 1, 2014, in the Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Stoudt. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Milton H. Stortz Sr. and Stella (Wieder) Stortz.

She worked as a dispatcher for the Emmaus police, fire and ambulance for many years.

She was a faithful lifetime member of Emmaus Moravian Church, where she was involved as a leader and active participant in multiple organizations, committee and service opportunities.

She also served her community as a volunteer for the Ecumenical Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Association for the Blind.

She is survived by Patricia A. and her husband Larry Herald, of Emmaus, Sharon L. and her husband Mervin Yoder, of St. Louis, Mo., The Rev. Dr. Glen and his wife Lynn, of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Ruth Ann and her husband Joseph Gonzalez, of Easton, and Jeanne M. and her husband Louis Puskaritz, of Breinigsville; brother, Arthur Stortz; sister, Mary Doney; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
