Henry C. Schraden

Henry C. Schraden, 75, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 29, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Sally A. (LeVan) Schraden. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary last March. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wesley H. and Frances H. (Balliet) Schraden.

He retired from Maier's Bakery as a driver salesman after 34 years of service. He was employed by Orlando Diefenderfer as a truck driver and in the warehouse for nine years, retiring in 2002.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was a volunteer for Salisbury #1 Ambulance Corp and Fire Department for 25 years. He served as ambulance captain for two years.

He was a member of the Fairview Men's Bowling League and the Fairview Ladies and Gents. He was a member of the Miller Brothers Racing Craftsman Truck Series.

He is survived by his wife; brother, Wesley H. and his wife Helen J., of Allentown; sister, Nancy A. and her husband Louis F. Guerino, of Whitehall; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Miriam and Curt Donaldson, of Salisbury Township; two nieces and nine nephews; goddaughters, Jessica and Amy.
