Weston Heylin Ruch Jr., 87, formerly from Quakertown, died peacefully Dec. 27, 2013, in Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the loving husband of the late Betty Lou (Lehr) Ruch, whose life he shared until her passing in 1988.
Born July 13, 1926, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Weston H. Sr. and Dorothy (Daubert) Ruch in a family with six brothers and three sisters.
He attended Allentown High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
He continued to serve during the Korean War.
He was a production manager at Penn Color Inc., Doylestown, until his retirement at age 80.
He was of the Protestant faith.
His survivors include sons Weston H. III and wife Georgine of Alexandria, Va., Timothy R. and wife Kathy of Abington; daughter Cathy Reed of Allentown; grandchildren Amy, Richard and Timothy; and nieces and nephews.
