Retail theft

Reported by Giant Foods, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors placed several items into a shopping basket and left the store without paying for the items 12:11 p.m. Dec. 17. The investigation continues.

Reported by Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, a black male, no age or further description given, walked out of the store without paying for various items 2:55 p.m. Dec. 20.

Burglary

Reported in the 4400 block of Linda Lane, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors entered through an unlocked door at a residence and took a Macbook Air laptop computer, a Samsung Galaxy S III cellphone, several silver necklaces, a Kindle tablet, a five-gallon water jug containing approximately $700 in cash, a Canon digital camera, several containers of used makeup and a Fed-Ex package containing a cashmere scarf, a total value of $3,600, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 20. The unknown actors likely removed the package from the front porch of the residence and entered the house through the front door. No signs of forced entry were seen at the residence. A neighbor spotted a white or silver Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban or similar large sports utility vehicle parked in her driveway, also in the 4400 block of Linda Lane. The SUV is described by police as a suspect vehicle in the burglary.The neighbor said a man and woman, both described as white and approximately 40 years old, in the SUV said they were contractors looking for a home where they were supposed to meet a client but said they did not have the client's name or address and left the area, according to police.

Forgery

Reported by Gonzo Pockets LLC and SkyHawks Lacrosse LLC, both located in the 1200 block of Stein Way, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed multiple business checks from the office location of the listed businesses and cashed three checks at an undetermined location between Dec. 3 and Dec. 11.

DUI

Noah Ross Bergstein, 30, of Allentown, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped for an alleged summary traffic violation at Hamilton Boulevard and Lower Macungie Road, Upper Macungie Township, 12:30 a.m. Dec. 21. Police allegedly found suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Bergstein's possession.

Tyler James Keinert, 20, of Allentown, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on Route 222 at Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:11 a.m. Dec. 20. A small amount of marijuana allegedly was found in the vehicle.

Access device fraud

Reported by a 36-year-old resident in the 2000 block of Aster Road, Lower Macungie Township, his credit card account was compromised and fraudulent transactions were made at a Walmart store in Springfield Dec. 19.

Criminal mischief

Todd Edward Alpha, of Mertztown, was issued a non-traffic citation for criminal mischief after he allegedly broke a wood panel on a pool table, kicked and damaged a magnetic lock on a door, kicked and damaged a handle on another door and kicked over a Christmas tree at Wescosville Fire Company, 958 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:04 a.m. Dec. 21. Damage to fire company property was approximately $75. Alpha was transported to Lehigh County Prison on a probation violation order.
