LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Cougar Comment

In the week prior to Christmas break, Lehigh Valley Christian High School concluded its holiday celebration.

The winner of Deck the Halls (a decorating competition between grades) was announced. The seniors came in first with their theme of an LVCHS Christmas. Their decorations included a nativity scene poster with our teachers' pictures featured as the characters, a Christmas tree, lights crossing the ceiling, and finally spare lockers wrapped to look like oversized presents.

Dec. 20, 2013, the last Friday before break, was not only important because of home basketball games, but it was also the alumni homecoming. Many former LVC students showed up to watch the game. The turnout of students overall was outstanding. The stands were full and the cheers for our teams were deafening. Both our girls and boys teams won against Salem Christian, though the scores were fairly close.

Not long after LVCHS comes back from break are the dreaded midterms. Students are preparing for the week of testing.

Winter conditioning is continuing even in the strange mix of cold/warm weather. Students meet after school to work out and prepare themselves for upcoming spring sports such as soccer, track and baseball.

LVCHS' drama department recently held auditions for their spring musical, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. The cast has been set and awaits the January rehearsals. The dates of this production are April 10, 11 and 12. Stay tuned for details.
