SALISBURY HIGH SCHOOL COLUMN Baccalaureate service June 9

On May 29, Salisbury High School held its third annual Broadway Night. Performers sang pieces from their favorite broadway musical shows ranging from classic to modern day.

The baccalaureate service will be held 7 p.m. June 9 at Nativity Lutheran Church, 4004 Tilghman St. Allentown. The non-denominational service will focus on reflecting and celebrating graduation, thanking educators, and looking toward the future. Any senior who wishes to take part in the event should contact Colin Smith, John Leiderman or Shannon Pennella through their school email accounts.

Salisbury High School's 2014 Commencement Ceremony will be held at Allentown Symphony Hall 6 p.m. June 11. Seniors are to arrive no later than 5:15 p.m. Rehearsals will occur June 9 (in the SHS new gym) and June 10 (at Symphony Hall, graduates will be bussed from the high school). Seniors must attend both graduation rehearsals in order to participate in the ceremony.

Tickets, caps and gowns will be distributed to graduating seniors June 6. Each senior will be given six tickets; additional requests must be made to Mrs. Kimberlee Pavkovic in the main office, but there is no guarantee requests can be fulfilled.

The last day of school for students is June 13. There will be an early dismissal 12:15 p.m. June 12 and 11 a.m. June 13.
