Joseph P. Muffley, 71, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 18, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Diane E. (Zelko) Muffley. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Sara R. (Brogan) and the late John H. Muffley.

He graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960.

He started his career at the former Western Electric and worked in the office, the plant and in the clean room. He retired after 41 years when it was Agere.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Hogan's Social Club.

He is survived by his wife; mother; daughter, Colleen M. and her husband Jeffrey Reimert, of Allentown; grandson, Noah Reimert; sister, Terry Lysek; nephews, Michael and Mark Lysek and William. He was predeceased by a brother, Jackie and a niece, Joanne.
