John W. Trauch Sr., 96, of Emmaus, formerly of Wescosville, died Dec. 23, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of the late Doris N. (Kauffman) Trauch. Born in Red Hill, he was the son of the late William and Alice Trauch.

He was the executive director for Industrial Development Corporation for over 25 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Valleyview Baptist Church and a longtime former member and elder of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church. He served on the board of directors and was treasurer of Fellowship Manor.

He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by a son, John "Jack" W. Jr. and his wife Susan, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Amanda Flora, Matthew, and Joseph Schweitzer and 10 great-grandchildren.
