Earl W. Mory

Earl W. Mory, 96, formerly of Emmaus, died Dec. 26, 2013. He was the husband of the late Frances A. (Ziegler) Mory. Born in Steinsburg, Lehigh County, he was the son of the late William G. and Mabel S. (Derr) Mory.

He worked for Widder Brother's Silk Mill, East Penn Foundry and Tyler Pipe Company.

He was a member of Solomon's United Church of Christ, Macungie, where he served as a deacon, elder and trustee.

He was a life member of the Emmaus Mercantile Club, Macungie Fire Company and Citizen's Fire Co. #1. He was a former member of the Emmaus Nest of Owls.

He is survived by sons, Donald E. and his wife Nancy Ann, of Weilersville, Glenn B. and his wife Rose Marie, of Macungie, and Larry G. and his wife Nancy, of Emmaus; daughter, Kay E. and her husband William Gordon, of Palm Coast, Fla.; stepbrother, Elmer and his wife Doris, of Emmaus; nine grandchildren; 18 great-granchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Dale.
