Marie Jacobs, 70, from Schnecksville, died on Dec. 21, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Jeffrey M. Jacobs celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary last Aug. 13.

Born Oct. 14, 1943, in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Luba K. (Logechnik) Oravec.

She was a 1965 graduate of Moravian College.

A certified medical technician, ASCP, she was employed at Lehigh Valley Health Network Labs for 41 years before retiring in 2006.

She was respected and admired by her former laboratory students trained in hematology.

She was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Matthew D. Moseley of Philadelphia, Eric L. Moseley and his wife, Amanda, of Easton, Md.; stepdaughter, Stacy A. Stevenson and her husband, Daniel, of North Wales; stepson, Jeffrey H. Jacobs and his wife, Susan, of Novi, Mich.; brother Michael P. Oravec and his wife, Paulette, of Hamburg, N.J.; sister Susan K. Polak and her husband, Joseph, of Swainton, N.J.; grandchildren Evan and Charlotte Moseley; step-grandchildren Ethan and Colin Jacobs, Elizabeth and Andrew Stevenson.

Her funeral services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 18, 2014, at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dennis W. Moore officiating.

Visitation period from 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church narthex.
