The congregation of Christ United Church of Christ is holding an open house 1-4 p.m. Dec. 28 to bid farewell to Rev. Frances Merkel, who is retiring.

Refreshments will be served.

Emmanuel's Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, Moore Township, will present a variety of musicians and singers during a Christmas concert 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.

It will include cantata selections from "There is Peace in the World Tonight" by the Cantata Choir.
