Acting principal approved at Lehigh Elementary School
Carol Cunningham was named Acting Principal of Lehigh Elementary School at the Northampton Area School Board meeting Dec. 16.
Cunningham was appointed by a 9-0 board vote. Her duties are to begin on or before Feb. 16, 2014, and continue through April 25, 2014, at a stipend of $2,500.
Also at the Dec. 16 meeting, the board accepted:
· The resignation of Jonathan Holota as assistant baseball coach, effective Nov. 18;
· Additions to the Athletic Event Staff for the 2013-14 school year: Mary Donnelly, usher-collector; Angela Munjone, ticket seller-collector; Michelle Newton, ticket seller-collector, and Andrew Snyder, security-usher;
· Additions to the District Volunteer Master Listing for the 2013-14 school year: Kelly Barry, Borough; Daniela Caiazzo, George Wolf; Jennifer Cole, Lehigh; Florangely Gonzalez, Lehigh; Jessica Kirkpatrick, Borough; Robert Marlatt, Athletic; Victoria McEntire, George Wolf; Fawn Mollenkof, George Wolf; Daniela Saraka, George Wolf, and Jennifer Schreiner, George Wolf; and
· The resignation of Norman Kern, custodian, Franklin Elementary School, effective Nov. 22.
Also at the Dec. 16 meeting, the board unanimously approved:
· Lisa Manno as musical vocal director at Northampton Area High School at a stipend of $2,571;
· Voluntary transfer of Christopher Glovas from Tuesday-Saturday custodian to Monday-Friday custodian at Lehigh Elementary School, effective Jan. 10, 2014;
· Voluntary transfer of Anthony Messina from middle shift custodian at middle school to day shift custodian at Franklin Elementary School, effective Dec. 17;
· Voluntary transfer of Suzan Hall from cafeteria monitor to security officer at Northampton Area High School, effective Dec. 17. Her rate of pay is $18.02 per hour, no benefits.
· Donna Teklits to attend The Attendance-Child Accounting Professional Association annual conference March 19-21, 2014, in Hershey at a cost to the district of approximately $815.05.
· Three-year service agreement to Garaventa Lift, Sharon Hill, Delaware County, from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2016, to inspect, clean, lubricate and adjust the wheelchair lift(s) at Siegfried and George Wolf at a cost of $900 per building per year.
