Western Salisbury Fire Department Assistant Chief Dev Kannan uses a portable extinguisher to wet down the contents of a trash fire when firefighters were called to 3145 Lehigh St. Dec. 13 after reports of a smoky trash can blaze. The trash container was located outside the commercial building, once home to The Paper Outlet. Salisbury Police said the building is being renovated as a salon.
