Swimmers sweep Eastburg South
Whitehall's swimming teams got by East Stroudsburg South last week. The girls had an easy time of it winning 124-45 while the boys score was a little closer as they edged out a 89-72 victory.
The girls lost just one event on the day, that coming in the 100 free. But Grace Sullivan and Maireed Doyle each won two events to help the girls to victory. Sullivan won the 200 free in 2:15.23 and the 100 back in 1:11.46. She also was part of two winning relay teams - the 200 medley and the 400 free. Doyle took the 200 IM in 2:35.72 and also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.25.
Kailyn Beil won the 50 free in 28.64 while Autumn Kidulic took the 100 fly in 1:16.92.
Beil, Madison Lyle and Abby Nguyen were part of the 200 medley team that timed in at 2:12.48. Marselles, Kidulic and Nyla Boulware were other members of the 400 free relay team which had a winning time of 4:21.81.
The 200 free relay team, made up of Lyle, Biel, Kidulic and Emily Emick, was first with a time of 1:59.43.
On the boys side, Jonathan Boyd and Felix Figueroa each won two individual events and were also part of two relay victories.
Boyd touched first in the 200 IM in 2:15.90 and also in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.17. Figueroa was first in the 100 fly in 1:06.44 and the 100 back in 1:09.55. Both were part of the 200 medley relay team, along with Takwan Hargrove and Jack Yadush, which won with a time of 1:56.17.
Figueroa, along with Mike Haggerty, Anthony Fragnito and Hargrove, won the 200 free relay in 1:45.23. Haggerty, Boyd, Fragnito and Yadush won the 400 free relay in 4:00.38.
Haggerty also had an individual win, taking the 500 free with a time of 5:37.53.

Against Emmaus, the girls hung in but fell 94-76.
Alexus Merkert won the 200 IM in 2:20.95 and also the 100 free in 57:31. Mina Feyrer took the 100 fly in 58.72 and the 100 back in 1:01.58.
The girls won two relay events, the 200 medley and the 400 free. Feyrer, Jess Marselles, Merkert and Grace Sullivan were part of the 200 medley while Feyrer, Merkert, Sullivan and Maireed Doyle won the 400. The winning 200 relay time was 1:48.84. No time was given for the 400 relay.
The Emmaus boys swept every event in a 136-32 win over the Zephs.
